She hides under the covers
Conceals herself beneath the sheets
She closes her eyes to shun away
The image of the gory beasts
She holds her blanket tight
To keep the light from her eyes
She keeps blinking in the dark
Looking for some ruthless lies
Only there she sought refuge
In the midst of the dreary skies
‘Till morning came, awake she lay
Nothing was quite like what it seem
She found the truth to her dismay
The gory beasts were all a dream.

She walks into the room
He greets her with warm eyes
She shook away her gloom
He gives her a cold glass
Her throat was scorched and dry
He offers her his bed
She knew her bones were wry
His breathing joins the ticking time
